I couldn’t think of a more beautiful place to take bridal portraits than a McGovern Centennial Gardens Bridal session. McGovern is filled with hundreds or roses in all shapes and colors as well as dozens of other stunning florals in the early Summertime. We had been fighting the rain for a few weeks to find the most perfect sunny day to capture Erica’s bridal portraits. After, a few times of rescheduling and a couple rain showers later we finally had the perfect weather we had been waiting for.

 

McGovern Centennial Gardens Bridal

The architecture that McGovern Centennial Gardens has to offer is truly unmatched for a Garden in Houston. There are more places to take photographs here than I had ever imagined possible, from the water features to the rose gardens there is a spot for everything. We started Erica’s session in a shady spot by a giant spreading oak tree to keep Erica cool from the Texas Summer heat. I am so glad we chose to start here because the sunlight coming into the trees was perfect!

 

Lush Bridal Bouquets

Erica’s blush and cream bouquet from Dream Bouquet fit her dress just beautifully. All of the flowers Erica chose to have in her bouquet are some of my personal favorites, I couldn’t love the blush pink tones more. The moment Erica stepped out of her moms car with this beautiful bouquet I knew I was going to love it. These same colors in her bouquet where actually the colors at my own wedding so I knew I was going to be excited.

 

Bridal Session Tip:

My number one bridal session tip is always to bring along your sweet momma or maid of honor. Fluffy dresses and flowers always need an extra set of hands and keeping a dress properly fluffed is a full time job. It’s always so helpful to bring someone along with you to lend a helping hand. Plus bridal sessions are always such a special time for mommas to see their sweet baby girl before the big day in a private location where she can cry as much as she’d like to 🙂
